What environmental project will you create to promote the protection of Mother Earth and why?

The Two Billion Trees Campaign will create an opportunity to demonstrate around the world one of the ways in which we all can play an active part in caring for the environment. This campaign will have a website, and any person who want to participate can log on to the website and pledge the number of trees they will plant, and then confirm this pledge once they have planted the trees, and upload the photos for confirmation. Planting trees can have many positive impacts on the environment including providing food and habitat for wildlife, cleaning the air, reducing soil erosion, helping to purify water, storing carbon and helping to reduce global warming and improving the general appearance of the landscape. Every tree counts!

What makes you proud of your country and what can you promote about it?

Moldova is a wonderful country with the most hospitable people, with delicious cuisine and beautifull traditions, I'm proud to know that Moldovan production is well known worldwide, especially our Wines. Even the Queen of England has many exclusive bottles in her private collection. I'm also proud with the unique places that we have which make Moldova an Unbelievable destination for tourists.
-Our underground Cellars that measure hundreds of kilometres are among the biggest in the world.
- Our Chestnut Avenue, which is the longest in the world.
-Our Natural Forests (Codri) that Cover the bigger part of the Country's territory.
-And the thing that I am most proud of are our people who keep being positive no matter what crisis, political instability or natural disasters, nothing can break down the Moldovan soul. We’ll keep on going to a better future!

Describe your childhood/growing years:

I grew up in a family not too large, my parents, me and my sister. I had a very interesting and “loaded” childhood. I tried to attend all the events that were organized at the school. I was involved with education, fun and charity. Some of my extracurricular activities: dancing (3 years), painting, acrobatics, volunteering (Red Cross, Stop AIDS), etc. As a child, I had a passion for modeling, so I went to “good manners” courses. I was successful everywhere, which I think I couldn’t do without now!

What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?

One thing I learned in my childhood is to share with others. I remember when I was a little child, I refused to share my toys and snacks with my friends. As a result, they were unwilling to play with me. I felt upset and cried for a few days. Finally, I learned the true meaning of sharing. Now I’d like to share my books, even my clothes with others. It has been valuable as I go through my life because I can hardly make any close friends without it. Also I’ve gained happiness. Another thing I learned is that nothing we assume to be real makes sense when we get older. Everything is turned upside down. "Cool kids" end up losers, "Geeks" end up being successful and desirable. Stuff we thought important is irrelevant. All this has taught me to never underestimate people and to believe that anyone is capable of anything. There are too many examples to cite to show relevance. I no longer judge people by their appearance but rather by their capabilities and accomplishments.

What is your most memorable moment?

I don't really have a single memorable moment, I live the life happily so every moment in it would be memorable. But the most different and more memorable time we can talk about is, the present days of my life as Miss Earth Moldova 2012, where I interact with people, and teach others about the health of our planet and our own health, about how to keep Mother Earth healthy for the future generations, etc.

What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose it?

My environmental advocacy is to promote the "Clean air and water for our Mother Earth" lifestyle for all of us. Clean up of hazardous waste sites, safe drinking water, green technology, climate change, and renewable energy are the most important issues for all the regions of the Earth. As citizens become more aware of environmental threats, the field of environmental law will continue to grow and the postive results will be visible for all of us.

What tip can you share to promote sustainable energy for all?

Make noise! – for everyone to come together, refocus our energy, and demand for something to be done. Rally. March. Vote. Petition. All of us must do something. All these actions count, and if we make enough noise, we’ll not only be making a real impact in our communities, the environment, society and the popular consciousness about the health of our planet, the powers that be will be forced to pay attention. Mobilize all your friends and "Make noise"!

Other information that you would like to share with the Miss Earth Management:

Having the honor to be a part of the big Miss Earth 2012 family, I would like to thank all the organizers of this special pageant for the opportunity to get to know the culture of the country consisting of 7,100 islands. I'm thankful for the chance to fully experience the beauty of the Philippine Islands that seems like a true natural paradise I strongly support the slogan of this pageant “beauties for a cause”, and really believe that together we can take action and do more to protect nature and to improve our environment. As a Moldovan writer once said: "From earth we come, in earth we go, WE ARE EARTH!” - It's karma, all our actions towards the environment (good or bad), someday, will affect us and our descendants. So we must do all we can for our future generations to live in a better Earth.
